Ministry Partners

The theme of Paul’s work was to establish leaders, send leaders into the community, and bless the city. Below are the stories of partners deeply connected to Paul who will be inaugural recipients of grants from the Paul Stolwyk Memorial Fund.

Paulus Partners: Ildiko and Janos Kiss

The Paulus Movement is an indigenous Hungarian evangelical church-planting movement, connected to Eurasia Partners Nonprofit, committed to obeying Christ’s Great Commission in Hungary through evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training. Growing out of an evangelistic living room Bible study in 2002 the first church fellowship, Paulus Diósd, is located in the rapidly growing southwest outskirts of the Hungarian capitol of Budapest—a community of 100,000. This young church sent out a team in 2013 which resulted in Paulus Budapest, a church reaching young professionals who live in or commute to the capitol. From its start, Paulus has been had a mission to love the broken: working with Bosnian refugees, Roma, and most recently Ukrainian refugees. This spiritual movement possesses a ministry philosophy closely following the ministry of the apostle Paul; thus calling our ministry the “Paulus” Movement, using Paul’s Latin name. The Apostle Paul, also known as the “Apostle to the Gentiles,” took the gospel to the whole world, mainly to those people who were pagans and to those territories where the people had never heard.

Jubilee Ministries

Jubilee Ministries is a transformational urban ministry in North St. Louis, founded on the inspired Word of God and the saving grace of Jesus Christ, compelled by love, and leading a regional movement to restore the broken and renew the suffering in mind, body, and spirit with the intention of creating a safe space to worship God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We recognize the impact that multigenerational chronic pain, due to poverty, addiction, mental illness, systemic racism, homelessness, violence and other trauma, has had on our community. Mobilized by our faith in God and by our love for others, we say #LOVINGORNOTHING, which means we are ALL IN and put love first in terms of responding to this crisis and creating transformative opportunities for our neighbors in need.

We facilitate a holistic approach to recovery and restoration of the human person, one that begins with addiction recovery, followed by recovery support (including housing and nutrition) as well as job training and job placement. We believe that creating a safe passage for healing within the individual, within the church, and within the greater community serves to empower the individual to thrive in society and worship God in greater freedom.
